      RFP Manager Interview

      12 Oct 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Indianapolis, IN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Springbuk (Indianapolis, IN)

      Interview

Interviewed online and got follow-up within one week. Second interview was at Springbuk office for a "coffee meeting." The interviewer seemed put out by the fact that he had an interview . He asked very general questions and didn't seem to want to get to know me as a person. He was constantly distracted and clearly not focusing on the interview. I knew there wasn't a chance when he said that most people in the company are younger and that he was one of the older employees at over 30. Since I'm over 40, I knew this was a deciding factor in how they were going to proceed with the process. It's a shame that companies look at age as a determining factor in how well a person can do a job. They need to realize that someone with over 20 years of experience can bring a lot to a company from their previous work experience.

My name is Phil, and as one of the founders of Springbuk I want to personally address the negative experience you had with us. People are at the core of our business – in fact, we’ve long had a mantra that “extraordinary people build exceptional product.” Our employee experience is focused on attracting and retaining top talent who share our vision of preventing disease with data. I’m sorry that we fell short in delivering a positive experience for you. Giving (and receiving) feedback is the mark of successful organizations, and we’ll use your comments to improve our recruitment efforts. If you have any additional comments or concerns to share, you can email them to me personally at pdaniels@springbuk.com. Thank you and best of luck with your future endeavors!
