Poor interview process unable to get job stacking shoes. No organisation for the interview. Said that I did not have the skills needed for the job. I will not recommend applying for a job at sport direct unless you have access to a car.
I applied online. I interviewed at Sports Direct (Southport, England) in Feb 2026
Interview
Quicky and easy,15 minute casual style interview.I was asked a variety of questions about my availability and customer facing tasks and how i would handle this. Was also asked how i would describe myself and "tell me show me" questions.
I interviewed at Sports Direct (Canterbury, England)
Interview
It started of pretty awkward and the room was really hot. They seemed not to interested in me and were not very engaged with the interview but rather just having it to say they have had it whilst checking of boxes
Very direct and short just common question about past experience and why you are suited to the role your applying for. Confidence is key as well as, examples of how and when you’ve demonstrated similar skills required to do the job you are applying for in the past. You want the interviewer to feel and believe you are more than capable of completing the tasks at hand independently.
