I applied in-person. I interviewed at Speedway (Indianapolis, IN) in Aug 2010
Interview
This company now has recruiting offices that do 95% of all hiring for Speedway. Like most company's they want to know your interest and strong points. How many hours you're capable of working, how much weight you're able to lift (50-70lbs) required. This is a very fast paced environment, must be able to multi-task and work well with the general public. Must also be able to complete all daily task, while taking care of store and any and all customer service issues that arise. What are future goals for education. They do have an education reimbursement program. Company does hire within, there is room for advancement.
It was not in an office setting was done in the backroom of the store standing up and moving around bc of an inventory going on. They advertise for a place and then try to put you somewhere else.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you willing to travel up to an hour to and from work everyday
Short and informal, the interview questions were basic in scope and not difficult to answer. Once, the in person interview was completed, I was offered the job within a couple of days.

Question 1
How do you handle yourself in high pressure situations?
Terrible communication. A snooty attitude and seemingly uninterested in fair compensation. The salary offered for an experienced manager is laughable and the consideration of credentials is nonexistent. I would it recommend this company based on how they conduct interviews
