I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Specsavers (London, England) in Dec 2017
Interview
Quite formal with two guys interviewing me in an examination room. Interview lasted for about half an hour with plenty of questions. They deconstructed my whole CV and went through questions about that and then also standard Specsavers questions.
I definitely wouldn't recommend going to an interview with Specsavers because two phone calls and 3 weeks later I'm still waiting for a reply, even though they said they would call me within a few days of the interview to let me know if I had been successful or not. Very unprofessional considering they harped on about how much of an amazing, professional company they were to work for during interview.
There were two interviewers in the room who were very kind and friendly, made the whole process feel at ease. Got asked pretty standard interview questions. The whole interview was fairly brief and quick.

Interview
I went to Specsavers for an interview and had a great experience. The lady interviewing me was very kind and the questions were very thorough and gave me plenty of room to display how I would be a good fit. I want to WARN people, since I didn't see anyone mention already, there was a maths test halfway through.
This caught me off guard but it was very simple adding and percentages and they even gave me a calculator. There was also a simple priority question and a filing exercise.
Then there was a second page of questions and some more information about the role. At the end she offered me some dates for a trial shift which I accepted.
Got a phone call to book interview which didn’t get booked, I had turned up to another candidates interview time and had to reschedule. Late interview start (around 25 minutes) but friendly, laid back interview talking mostly about experience and where I see myself in 5 years time.
