I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sparx Hockey (Acton, MA) in May 2022
Interview
Entire process was an interview with Senior Engineer, VP engineering, and HR which lasted about 1.5 hours in total. They asked the typical questions and things like “what’s the population of Boston, the US, etc”. Then brought some parts and drawings out and asked more specific engineering question.

Interview
Overall was turned off by the process. Applied on LinkedIn and received a text message from the CEO Russ asking for a time to talk. I told him a time and he never called, a day later he texted again looking for a time so I told him a time. He again never called and texted me asking if we could talk the next morning during my commute. I said sure and he finally called, we discussed the company, the history and the role and essentially he was looking for someone to run the entire organization as the sole support. I do understand that is common with start ups but this position was flat out too demanding. I talked through what he was looking for and confirmed I would like to come in for an in person interview and meet the team. Contacted Russ a few days later and excuses just kept coming with schedules or other stuff. I said this place doesn't have it together and passed on moving further. Too scatter brained and needs serious help with recruiting
