I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Spark Networks in Sept 2024
Interview
I had a technical interview that asked a question on SOLID principles and then a leet code style question. The platform used to write code was down so I was expected to write in an unfamiliar language in notepad.
Thank you for taking the time to share your interview experience.
We’re glad to hear that you had the opportunity to engage in a technical discussion, but we’re sorry that the platform issue caused a less-than-ideal experience. Technical challenges like that are not reflective of the process we aim to deliver. We continue to improve our process to ensure candidates can work in familiar environments without unnecessary hurdles.
We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to refine our interview process to be both fair and candidate-friendly.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Spark Networks (Berlin) in May 2022
Interview
1. HR interview: talked about the general background of me
2. Technical interview: A bit more detailed background, what I've done so far, and the technologies I used. Plus, some questions I believe to see my fit in the team.
3. Assignment: It was an easy backend project. They give you a backend code and ask you to complete it.
4. Pair programming: You do some enhancements on the project that you did in the previous step with the developers.
5. PM interview: General talk about what I expect from the company and what they expect from me, followed by an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The question I liked the most in the interview was: What are the first and the last things that I would like to see in a working environment?
My interview experience was very nice. I liked how the process was structured and the questions during the tech call were quite challenging and non-trivial. I would definetely try to apply again in the future
