I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Spark Growth (Toronto, ON) in May 2025
Interview
It was easy. The HR person was very nice and she tried to make me feel comfortable during all the process. Despite that, she didn't want to tell me the benefits for the position, and after the interview I didn't receive a feedback.

Question 1
Tell a little bit about yourself and why do you want to work here.
Had a phone interview + was invited to submit a trial assignment afterwards, but the phone interview gave off so many red flags that I let them know I wasn't interested in proceeding. They didn't know my name or what role I was interviewing for + offered a stipend that worked out to less than minimum wage (when I brought this up, I was told that it "basically works out to minimum wage" — for reference, min. wage is $15 and they were paying around $13-13.85... yikes...). To be fair, I'm not sure if this was meant to be a stipend for a co-op placement (in which case $9k for a summer wouldn't be terrible), but the job was advertised as an internship (which does not come with course credit+is paid in Ontario) so it's only natural to expect minimum wage at the very least. Also got a strong impression that this is the type of company where you're expected to do way more work than what you're paid for.
I applied online. I interviewed at Spark Growth (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2018
Interview
This was a phone interview. The HR coordinator called on time and last for about 30 mins. She basically asked some behavioural and two technical questions and I ask a few question to her in the end.
