had an initial recruiter screen over the phone, was more intense than your average phone screen. Follow up with hiring manager, lots of questions, Make sure to have a few STAR situations lined up.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceX (Hawthorne, CA) in Nov 2024
Interview
Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn. Screening call. 30-min phone interview with hiring manager. 3-5 hour coding exercise. Half-day, on-site interview with one-hour presentation (20-25 min worth of slides + Q&A) and 5 30 min sessions with team members. Most team members asked thought experiment questions to see how I problem solved, though behavioral questions, questions about my experience, and math problems were given as well. Moved very quickly from stage to stage, often hearing if I had moved forward ranging from a couple hours to a little over a business day. Everyone I interacted with was well-prepared and friendly.
