I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Southern States TOYOTAlift (Jacksonville, FL) in Jan 2025
Interview
I was Interviewed by two of the service managers. Two days later they wanted me to do a ride-a-long. That showed me the disorganized side of the company. when I am paired with a "mentor Tech" I would assume that would be the example, Van was Trashed, tools in the back looked like they were thrown in there violently. 8 Hour day spent talking on phone Bsing with other techs, and 15 mins of work. At end of day I was asked if this is a good fit for me. I just said no. but there was zero follow up on why I changed my mind, I figured the managers would want to know why I chose not to continue this. Their company works on making other businesses with efficiency but they need to look inward. They cost their customers so much money for very little effort and work. I truly believe if someone competent was working there that day three forklifts could have been fixed.

The service manager asked me what a Fluke meter was. It sounded familiar but I didn't know at the time but its just a multimeter Brand... which I have experience with.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Southern States TOYOTAlift in Nov 2021
Interview
Very thorough and great experience getting to know a company who cares so much about their employees as if they’re family. Very evident to why most of the employees I had met had worked for the company for many years and were very passionate.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Southern States TOYOTAlift (Tampa, FL) in May 2019
Interview
I sent them my resume and within an hour the HR department contacted me. They set up an interview for a Friday. I went to the interview and met with the GM and the BM. They made me feel the most comfortable I have ever felt in an interview. They talked about my experience and they explained the benefits and the training regimen they have in place. They want to make sure that you are comfortable with being on your own so they put you through classroom training for the first 2 weeks. Afterwards you are paired up with a Senior Tech and you basically have to have him sign off that you are safe and competent to do the job.
