I applied online, a recruiter replied in a few hours, I took a brief technical screening online, and we setup a call for the next day. After the phone conversation we setup a technical screening over the phone with one of the software engineers. After the second technical screen the recruiter reached out and we setup a date for an onsite interview. I arrived on a Thursday and had one interview that afternoon, then four more over the course of the next day. Every interview went over technical questions and programming exercises. I was under prepared, but the interviewers were receptive to my questions and encouraging throughout. The last two interviews were with the director of the program for which I applied, and the CTO of the company, which added a ton of value to the interview experience. Each round had time at the end for questions, and there was even a follow up after lunch with the CTO for any lingering thoughts. It took a bit longer than they had told me after my onsite interview to hear back from the recruiter, but I anticipated this would be the case since they are a relatively young company.
Overall, everyone I met at SoundHound was accommodating and helpful, and the whole experience made me feel valued. I'd definitely do the whole thing again. 10/10
