I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Solo Stove (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2024
Interview
Met with Corporate Recruiter via video. Interview questions were 100% routine. Not the greatest answers to the questions I posed. Kind of arrogant about their business.
Was promised a return call. GHOSTED. Amateur hour. I'd avoid.

Question 1
Are you used to working with art directors or designers? (That question kinda shows that you don't really know what you're talking about.)
Met with HR via web for an initial call. I had been referred to them for a position. HR explained that the hiring manager "would not have any time to train you or bring you up to speed". Should have been red flag #1.
Was told that the hiring manager was on an extended vacation, and so I may not meet with them for a few weeks. But in the meantime, would try to get me in front of a consultant who was working to put this new department into place. Got scheduled with the consultant almost immediately, again, another web interview, as this person does not live in TX, and was not in office very much.
Consultant had little to no personality and was incredibly hard to read or engage with. Got VERY hung up on one particular area of the JD that he felt I lacked proficiency with. Seemed to ruffle his feathers, as he spent an excessive amount of time talking about it. Almost felt combative.
Never moved on to the hiring manager, and was not informed I would not be moving on.
Followed up multiple times, and eventually HR sent a short, cold email response that they had "chosen to proceed with other candidates". Definitely would have ghosted me had I not emailed them.

Question 1
How would I have handled the Baltimore port fiasco when product was on a container ship that had arrived at that port.

Interview
The first interview was pretty simple and to the point. The interviewer was great, but the hiring manager hired someone that same afternoon that he had previously been talking to.
