I applied online. I interviewed at Smuggler (New York, NY) in Feb 2024
Interview
Interview itself was an average experience, what was odd about it was instead of email or written follow ups, I received phone calls confirming my interest in the position. The next steps were also extremely exploitative, as they requested an "assignment" that required four completed works, including a video editing project, all things that require hours of essentially free labor. Not only that, but after sending off my initial completed projects, I received "feedback" and was asked to revise all of the projects with little to no direction and was again, working more hours to complete the assignment, just because of the desire of working at this position. Extremely exploitative and it felt morally wrong. After receiving a rejection from this job, I received again, a phone call instead of written proof of their "apology" of how much work I had done to then just not get offered the job, and wanted to compensate only 300 dollars for the hours of work I dedicated.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Smuggler (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview process was quite a few rounds, with multiple people in the company. It included both in-person and phone interviews. Everyone I spoke with was super friendly and had a relaxed interview style.

It went smooth and the employees are good people and they were interested in my day to day life what I would do in my free time out side of school and what film I enjoyed.
