Smith+Nephew Quality Engineer interview questions

I received an email stating that, on behalf of Smith+Nephew, they would like to schedule a 30-minute phone interview with me. However, from the start, the interview felt confrontational. First, the interviewer claimed the position wasn’t suitable for me because I didn’t live in the Pittsburgh area—until I clarified that many people commute daily from Ohio to Pittsburgh. Next, they stated I lacked manufacturing experience, which I corrected by explaining that the majority of my experience has been in manufacturing environments, working directly on the production floor. Finally, the interviewer concluded that I had too much experience for the role.

They flew me out for an interview after several phone interviews, then ghosted me for weeks afterwards. The people seemed nice to work for, but there was a lack of communication in the process.
