The first round was a phone screen for 15 minutes, the second round was a 30-minute interview with situational questions, the third round was the HubSpot practicum, and the final round is an interview with the VP for culture fit. Overall, everyone I talked to was very friendly and pleasant. The practicum that I was provided was fairly simple and I was assured by the interviewer there were no tricks, and they just wanted me to complete the tasks on the provided sheet as written. I completed the practicum with perfect accuracy in tweleve minutes and was complimented for my precision and efficiency. The interviewer said my next steps would be to interview with the VP and that HR would e-mail me to schedule that interview within 2 days. Unfortunately, that was a lie and HR never followed up. I was ghosted for 16 days before I received a no-reply form letter saying they were going with other candidates that had stronger experience. This was extraordinarily unprofessional and disrespectful on the part of SmartBug, and a terrible way of conducting recruiting. At least have the common courtesy to let your candidates know earlier that you are moving on without them. It wastes the candidate's time, leading them to believe they are one step away from receiving an offer, and may lead some candidates to stop applying/interviewing. I can only surmise that SmartBug conducts business with its clients in the same way. I have 5 years of active Hubspot experience and over 20 valid Hubspot certifications. I guess that is not enough experience for the role.
