I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Skydio
Interview
1 - Phone screen, live coding, system design 2 - On site includes a power point presentation, live coding another system design 3- Another on site of live coding and a data modeling interviews. Of the 5 companies I applied for, this was the only one not to extend an offer and had the most time commitment. If you're up to risking 10+ hours for this process then go for it. Otherwise, I highly suggest avoiding this company because they will waste your time.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Skydio (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2023
Interview
Starts with a chat with the head of eng or an EM, then a screening round, then an onsite at their nice San Mateo office. The questions were all relevant, fun and not leetcode based. The interviewers are friendly, engaging and collaborative. It was like co-working to problem solve, as interviews should ideally be.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Skydio
Interview
Recruiter reached out. I had an intro call and thought the tech sounded interesting.
Had an intro interview with the EM, which was an intro and general coding interview, not too difficult. Asked about complexity.
Next round was a hiring panel of my peers incl questions on system design and DB design. It also included a 15 min presentation + question round on a system I'd designed and a short interview with a VP
