I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Skybox Imaging (Mountain View, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
I had a phone screening interview about the position. The next week I was told that I would be having an interview through Google hangouts with 4 employees. The interview took about 3 hours. There were some fairly standard behavioral questions, questions about past work, a fairly straightforward coding question, and some general satellite knowledge questions. Nothing too difficult if you're familiar with the subject. Everybody seemed to enjoy their work and was very friendly. I was told I would be notified within a week, but it took three weeks for them to tell me I would be receiving an offer.
Ultimately, I decided to turn down the offer. The main reason for this was due to the contracting agency that they were using for this position. The agency gave me incorrect information, wouldn't help with relocation, and were generally not very helpful.

How would you react to something going wrong on the spacecraft?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skybox Imaging (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I had an initial 30 minute phone interview to access that I met the basic criteria that they were looking for. After that, I had a 3 hour interview with various members of their team. They told me that they normally like to conduct these 2nd interviews in person, however I am currently living in a purposefully remote location in the US for my current job so we did the interviews via google hangouts. Overall the questions ranged from easy behavioral ones to specific technical ones about small satellite operations. Everyone I talked with seemed excited by the work they were doing and it appeared to be a wonderful company to work with.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skybox Imaging (Mountain View, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Phone interview took place a week after I submitted my application and then followed by an in-person interview a week after the phone interview. The phone interviewer was over an hour late on the scheduled time. The in-person interview was a series of four 30 minute interviews, each with a different member of the team. Was told that I would be notified within the week if they decide to extend an offer or not, but I was never contacted.
