I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sky (London, England) in Aug 2023
Interview
Applied on Otta.com and received an email to schedule first round. Initial round - There were 2 interviewers on the call. They were very friendly. I found this round very easy. They asked the basic java questions, about the spring framework and unit testing. After two days, HR called to convey my success in the initial round and inquired about my negotiable expected salary. Despite having updated my minimum salary on Otta, they offered £50K seemed insufficient for someone with 8 years of experience. Despite this, I accepted the offer. However, she further asked if I would disregard a higher offer from another company. It's puzzling why they wouldn't match industry standards given their knowledge of prevailing salaries. No further contacts afterwards.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic Java questions - OOPs concepts, multithreading. Questions on spring framework. Questions on other technologies I have worked.
As a first stage - home task, API with implementation on Java.
They reviewed for at least 1 month.
After it, they called on the next stage.
The next stage was 1 hour call with long list of standard questions for Java.
Then I get the response with invitation to the next stage, I've already found a job.
Overall, process was too long.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sky (London, England) in Oct 2019
