I applied online. I interviewed at Signal Advisors (Detroit, MI)
Interview
They asked a Case Study about how to optimize revenue for the business. There were two phases, both were case studies. One was with an associate and one was with the manager.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Signal Advisors (Detroit, MI) in Feb 2024
Interview
The interview process is broken down into 4-5 meetings. Each meeting is approximately 30 minutes. They want to know your experience and what you can bring to make Signal better. If you make it past the 4th interview, you go to the headquarters in Detroit to meet the board and CEO. If you are a good fit, an offer will soon follow. The teams at Signal are very easy to communicate and get along with.

Question 1
Are you able to handle a heavy workload and navigate processes without set instruction/processes to do so?
A few hours after submitting my resume, I was contacted by a gentleman from Signal to schedule my interview. I offered several different time frames. A couple of days later, I received a response and a Zoom link for the interview.
The 1st interview went great. I received another email from this gentleman stating I passed the interview, and I was given an "interview buddy" who never contacted me and a pdf file of the interview process. After reviewing the pdf file, I saw that there are 5 steps to their interview process. Which is a bit much, 4 one on one interviews and the 5th step was the offer. I had to submit dates for the 2nd interview and again received an email with Zoom link information.
The 2nd person who interviewed me was not very professional. I was told my resume was similar to their resume. They kept telling me that the company gave them a list of questions that were so obsurd to them and didn't want to ask me, but they asked me anyway. They had asked 3 different questions from this list, which were very long questions. They told me they were very impressed with my answers. However, this interview felt more like two buddies hanging out over the computer. I've never experienced that before. I had thought to myself that they must not care about their job. Besides all of this, I felt the interview went very well. I had asked the initial gentleman who contacted me, for the emails to each hiring personnel to send them a follow-up email.
Later that day of sending my follow-up email, I received a no reply email from Signal Advisors stating they decided not to move forward. This really threw me off, but okay. That was it. No more emails from the gentleman (who emailed me several different occasions), no more interview buddy, no replies to my thank you emails, and no explanation to why or what happened.
That was my experience being interviewed by Signal Advisors.
