Shield AI interview questions

The interview process consisted of a 1 hour virtual interview with the hiring manager, which consisted of a series of technical questions related to the role, along with the typical resume and background review. After the virtual interview, there is an on-site portion that was roughly 5 hours in length and comprised of a panel interview where a presentation on a specified topic is given, a tour of the facility, and a series of one-on-one interviews with various team members on ethics and technical questions.

The interview process was relatively quick, but not as fast as advertised or expected: 11 days between applying and first screening call, 7 days to hiring manager interview, 11 days to tech skills interview, 8 days to onsite interview, then 6 days to hear back (total ~6 weeks). The most difficult part of the interview process was prepping for the challenge on-site presentation, since it was one of those I could have spent multiple weeks on digging into the details, but the expectation was to only spend 4 hours (I definitely spent more than that). The only downside I felt to the interview process was that most of the on-site interview process was done via Teams (the interviewers were remote).
