I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Shell (The Hague) in Jan 2015
Interview
I would say the interview with Shell was the most challenging interview I ever had. However, they are pretty structured questions, the difficult part is the follow-up questions, because you never know what questions they would throw out at you in regards to your previous answers. I had two interviews, the first one was with hiring managers for one hour - very general questions, more related to personality type of questions. After I was selected for the final, I was asked to attend the video conference with all the interviewers sit in different region. The interview lasted for two hours, with the questions related to work experience, and leadership attributes.

Question 1
Where do you see yourself in five years time? and why?
The interview process involved one call, an interview that lasted several hours and an exam. The interviewers asked the same questions in different formats multiple times. They took unreasonably long time to communicate the outcome.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Shell in Jan 2023
Interview
Openly grilling but if you know your stuff as well as showing willingness to learn it should be OK. It's a big learning culture in the company so if you show that you're keen, the door is half opened.

Straightforward but difficult, recruiting process is fast. Interview is one round only so it was not overwhelming. Panel is also accommodating and made the whole interview not nerve-wracking. It was a good experience.
