I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SemanticBits (Monterrey, Nuevo León) in Feb 2019
Interview
The interview process was pretty typical and similar to other companies where I've interviewed. I was screened, had a technical interview consisting of trivia-type questions, a 1-2 hr. homework assignment to complete, and then another technical interview to talk about the coding project and pair program on the code. There would have been another round of chatting with the CTO if I wasn't rejected after the third interview.
I found Semantic Bits to be professional, prompt, and curtious in their interview process and agree with how they conducted each round of interviews. I've certainly had to sit through pretty sucky interview scenarios, but this whole process went rather smoothly.
The homework was to write a Drupal 7 module that displayed a list of posts updated on the current day inside a block. The module needed to have a test case included.
Thank you for providing feedback on your interview experience. We’re glad that you found it to be a prompt and professional process. We try to keep the process moving while still allowing time for candidates to demonstrate their skills and meet key team members. As a growing company, we have a steady flow of recruitment, and it’s good to hear from candidates that the process was fair and painless. Good luck in your search. We hope you find a home for your talents.
