Recruiter found me online at a resume hosting website. Did a very informal 10 minute phone interview and he scheduled me to come into the San Diego office to interview with three managers. After the interview I was specifically told "So this next step in the process is the recruiter will contact you to set up a second interview for sometime next week." The recruiter and I talked and he stated he would send me an email with dates and times to choose from. About 30 minutes later he reached out to tell me they are not moving forward with me. The Managers tooted the company horn quite a bit which made me a little uneasy. Stated multiple times they are THE BEST (I work for a pretty decent life insurance company already). All in all it was a typical sales interview with 10 or so pre written questions on a sheet of paper. Next time don't tell someone they are getting a second interview when you have no intention of actually moving forward.
