      I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Seer Medical in Sept 2023

      I had a fairly in depth phone screen with the "Talent Experience Specialist" for the role which seemed to go well – I left the call feeling good and excited about the opportunity, and was told I'd get an update over the next week. After 10 days went by, I followed up for a status update and received no reply. I followed up again 2 weeks later, hoping to receive an update or perhaps any feedback. 5 hours after sending the 2nd follow up I received the following from a noreply@ email: Dear Name, Thank you for taking the time to speak with me and for allowing us to consider you for the Senior HR Business Partner position at Seer. After speaking with our shortlisted candidates, we are currently pursuing other candidates whose background and skills more closely fit our current needs for this role. Thank you for your interest in Seer and best of luck on your job search. I'm not sure what Talent Experience they're aiming for but this is not it. Making a candidate follow up 2x over 3 weeks to get a rejection is bad enough but not even having the care to respond personally in response to a direct follow up – or even with a slightly customized, caring templated email instead of a cold, heartless auto-rejection email – is just poor recruiting. The least you can do after a candidate has passed the application screen and been invited for an initial interview is send a rejection from a real email instead of a cold and nameless noreply@. It's absurdly easy to set up templates that can used for bulk sending in Workable, so there's really no excuse. Do better.
