      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Search Wizards (Sunnyvale, CA) in May 2016

      Interview

I applied for a recruiter role that was posted on the job boards and a recruiter reached out to me the next day stating she saw my profile on LI and was impressed. She was professional in the beginning and things escalated. She started asking me some very typical recruiting questions and there was one question she didn't like how I answered (as I was still in the midst of answering) that she cut me off and became very agitated and rude. She then stated that big companies want people with more experience etc. and then hung up on me. Yep, she hung up on me. If this is how you reach out to candidates and you claim to be representing big companies than I am embarrassed for them. Completely unprofessional and cannot imagine someone from this company would speak to potential candidates like that.

      Interview

The interview was for a contract role. They asked about my experience and what do I do as a recruiter. It was not very specific because it was an introductory interview for future representation as a contractor. Have gotten a couple of interviews with interesting companies after that.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Search Wizards (Seattle, WA)

      Interview

I was contacted by a SearchWizards Recruiter on LinkedIn and scheduled a phone interview for a Recruiter position (of which I'm not actively looking, but the companies were interesting). I was on the phone with the Recruiter and the opening statement was a canned, impersonal speech on their benefits offering, so random. Then, a question about my sourcing skills outside of job boards. After I listed my sources.. the entire interview went downhill and she told me essentially how she was the greatest Recruiter ever because she finds diversity candidates on Tinder and OKCupid. (I can't make this stuff up). She's the reason why agency recruiters get bad names. She's the slick sales person who makes you cringe. Essentially, it was a session to tell me all the things she (thinks) she can do better. It was the most unprofessional phone interview I've had or experienced. She ended it with, "When you have better skills, call me". Yeah....no, not ever and I'll make sure I tell everyone I meet NOT to use your company or hire you. She was the WORST recruiter I've ever talked to. If you are scheduled with a Recruiter based out of the Pacific Northwest......RUN. FAR. FAST. I'll be nice enough not to blast her name on the internet.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Candidate experience is very important to us and your experience, as you have described it, does seem out of character for our team. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you so that I might get more details and take any necessary steps internally to ensure this type of interaction does not happen again. Please reach out to me direct at miranda@searchwizards.com | 941-932-4108. I hope to hear from you soon
