As someone who IS in the IoT space, I was excited to see that Samsara had an opening for a Product Marketing Director. When reading about it, it sounded like the perfect job. I asked some friends to refer me for this role and almost immediately got rejected. Considering that this job has been open now for over a year, I strongly believe that this job either 1) fake (it's an attempt for them to figure out the state of the IoT space by posting a pretend job -- very sneaky!), 2) they are waiting for someone that isn't interested in the role, or 3) they are just clueless when it comes to hiring marketing leadership It could be all three as well or maybe two of them, but if you are in the IoT space, or even thinking of entering it, I'd pass on this company since they really don't understand how to hire anyone for this crucial role.
