I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sainsbury’s (Poole, England) in Apr 2017
Interview
First application online, answer questions to scenarios how oh would deal with different situations.
I received an email to say I had to call HR to arrange a 1-1 interview at the store, the guy sounded really nice and friendly, it was very relaxed. I then called back prior to the interview for some advise, they were really happy to help and wished me good luck!
For the 1-1 interview I arrived 15 minutes early (would advise you too as the customer service desk could be busy and you'll have to wait as I did) while I waited for the interviewer the customer service workers were really friendly and chatty with me which was really nice as I was very nervous helped me to relax. Then the interview came and took me to a meeting room (on the way through checking his colleagues were ok and didn't need help they were busy and it shows he's a team player boss not someone who just tells you what to do) the interview was very relaxed he was really nice and friendly, we went through basic questions, clothes size right to work ect. Then a chat wanted to know about my current job and me. Really hope I get the job seem like a good team and nice people!! Fingers crossed!!!
Very easy, got offered the job on the spot. Was more like a chat. I was made to feel at ease. I was asked a few questions and then spoke about my availability.
