One on one interview with branch manager in coffee shop. Quite informal and straight to the point, didn't last long and was told I got the job by the end of the interview. Extremely pleasant experience honestly
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sainsbury's Bank (London, England)
Interview
I applied online. The next day I received an email asking me to call HR and arrange for an interview.
At the interview I was made comfortable. I was asked to do some basic math test and currency exchange test, which I had half an hour for. It is very important not to make any mistakes. After that I was asked many competency questions. Make sure you ask some questions back. It is important to show your intrest in the job and good to mention why you want to work for sainsburys bank. We discussed the hours, rota, uniform size, holidays etc. The overall experience was good. If you well prepared and do research about sainsbury you should be fine.
There was a maths test during the interview. Questions like how to convert currencies. There was also standard customer service questions, such as tell me a time you have given great customer service.
