ST Marine interview questions

Interview was okay, but they offered me a salary (through mail) without getting confirmation with their management. Then some time later mentioned to me that they are not able to offer me that salary. Then asked me if i was interested in an alternative role. i mentioned yes. and some time later they said that their department is looking for someone which different background. Then some time later they asked me if i was still willing to try for the original job, but i was not interested by that time already.
