Applied online, and didn't hear back for 3+ weeks. Cold-emailed some scientists working there inquiring as to the status of my application, and lo and behold, I get a call from the recruiter the following day. This was a standard HR phone screening call, and about a week later, talked to two other scientists (including potential supervisor) on the phone. They invited me to visit the campus and give a research presentation 3 weeks after that. After the presentation and meeting with everyone, I was told that I would hear back on hiring status within a week. Several weeks go by, and...nothing. Reached out to the supervisor and reiterated interest in the position. A month later, I hear back from the recruiter with a rejection. A month later, I actually manage to land a position somewhere else and 2-3 weeks into the new job, get an e-mail from the supervisor at SRI asking if I was still available. I was so angry that I couldn't respond for several days...they had their chance if they wanted me!!!

The interview process was pretty typical for a post-doc position. I had a phone interview with the hiring manager followed by an onsite interview. The onsite interview consisted of meeting with an HR representative the asked pretty typical "behaviorial" type questions, meetings with various group members, and a presentation given by me about my graduate work. The interview process was pretty standard. I also received a tour of the facilities and campus.
