I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SPINITAR
Interview
The interview process felt very casual. Was disappointed that it was conducted by someone other than who I would end up reporting to. Turned out, while the interviewer oversaw the office that I would end up working in, they were not my direct boss, and knew very little about the position they were interviewing me for. Made for an easy interview but came out of it not really knowing what they expected from my position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Typical stuff. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Explain duties at previous jobs, etc.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SPINITAR in Jan 2022
Interview
I immediately noticed the interviewer was in a bad mood, as his demeanor was very curt. He kept asking me why I left my previous positions, then he started eating his lunch during the interview. At this point, I just wanted the interview to end so I floundered and gave canned answers. Definitely the most unprofessional interviewer I've come across.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SPINITAR (La Mirada, CA) in Jul 2019
Interview
Within minutes the interviewer turned cold and stopped asking me about my qualifications and opened the door for me to ask about the position.
Being a programmer: I asked about the management environment and commitment to hearing ideas and collaboration and was told that they WANT to hear about new ideas and feedback and that was reinforced multiple times over the next few questions as a requirement.
But then when it was my turn to ask about the programming environment, I was given an excessively concise answer without the full picture so I mentioned some other programming environments from the Spinitar website and was told that was "off-topic".
So much for open collaboration or being allowed to even ask much less speak our mind.
When a programmer cannot discuss programming environments with the technical services manager (who has junior level code skills himself): it is time to run, (not walk) away.
