I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SLB (Calgary, AB) in Oct 2013
Interview
I was E mailed a PDF package that i needed to fill out which included the standard legal questions about right to work in certain locations. Once i filled this out I sent it back to the HR person along with what time i would like to come in for an interview (she game me a range over two days). I went to the office downtown and was given a pretty standard one on one interview with normal behavioural questions then i was asked one critical thinking question. One thing to remember is that they are looking for your thought process not the answer so don't just sit there and brood, actually talk about what you are thinking. after this they explained the job and really tried to stress the physical part of thus job and how nasty it would be in the field in terms of conditions and hours.

It was an on campus hiring. First they shortlisted based on CV. Then second round was group discussion where we were given abstract topics like "Half filled glass of water" and were asked to discuss. This was also an eliminatory round. The final round was more of a HR round, they asked behavioural questions, few puzzles (very easy) and general knowledge questions
