      Entry Level Environmental Scientist/Engineer Interview

      25 Mar 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at SCS Engineers in Feb 2026

      Interview

The overall interview process was pretty standard: 30-minute phone screen, 1-hour virtual interview, and 1-hour on site interview that turned out to be a panel interview. The phone screening with the recruiter was all about why did I apply and why do I want this job as well as basics like salary expectation while the virtual and on site interviews were focused on job expectations and how my experience and degree applies. The virtual interview was with three people, all managers and one director, which was then quickly followed up with an on site interview, which I thought was going to be with three people (two of the same managers as previously), but turned out to be a panel interview with a total of seven people spanning various roles in the office. They also requested a writing sample during the on site interview. Everything was generally positive up until the end. Everyone I met during the process was nice and communicative, often responding within a day or two and on one occasion on the weekend. While I know companies are not required to notify applicants of their rejection, I had hoped that being two interviews and a phone screening in would raise the chances but despite sending three emails (a thank you message and two follow ups), I never received a response regarding my application's status.
