Interview
I'm sharing my experience with regards to interview attended.
I had a really shocking experience at SBK real estate during an interview.
Position: HR
I reached 10 mins prior to my interview scheduled time, i could see few other candidates are already waiting in reception for their turn, as i was waiting in reception few more candidates started walking for the same position. But the interview is yet to be started with first candidate. after waiting for 45 mins i was called in.
First round interview was decent and professional conducted by an HR.
very same day evening i got a call to attend the final round of interview on next day.
final round interview was taken by Chairman himself ( a typical malayali).
1st question by interviewer: Where are you from?
Me: India
2nd question: Do you speak malayalam?
Me: No, but i can understand.
3rd : Response from the interviewer was such unprofessional and disgusting, "i was shocked that you don't speak malayalam" ! ( as if malayalam is a universal language). The ad posted has the requirement of English and Hindi language !. And a chairman is asking me if i can speak malayalam, such a unethical and unprofessional on his part.
If you wanted a malayalee you should post the ad with such a requirement and waste time money and energy of 15 plus candidates walking in daily into your office with hopes and walking out with disguise.
Unorganized interview process, Candidates waiting in queue, unprofessional interviewer only concerned if the candidate can speak malayalam !!!
