I applied online. I interviewed at SAIC (Arlington, VA)
Interview
Completely unprofessional. Did two phone interviews which went well. They asked me general interview questions during the phone interview and questions on the main parts of the job.
The in-person interview was a completely different story. The job description was very misleading. After reading the job description, I went in to the interview thinking I was well-qualified for the role and left the interview confused about what exactly they were looking for in a candidate after being asked multiple "gotcha" questions on parts of the position that the description implied were secondary duties.
Making matters worse, one of the five people who interviewed me made a couple snide remarks to me about my resume during the interview, and she along with the hiring manager interrupted me multiple times by having their own side conversation when I was trying to answer questions. It got so awkward that another person sitting in on my interview told the two people interrupting me to stop and give me a chance to answer their questions. One of the most unprofessional displays I've ever seen in a professional environment.
Then, at the end of the interview, the hiring manager told me he would get back to me in a week with feedback. It's been more than two weeks and I still haven't heard anything back.
If this organization can't even treat a prospective employee with basic human decency, I can't imagine how they treat their employees.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at SAIC (Fort Meade, MD) in Apr 2023

Straight forward, professional and friendly. They asked me the questions I was expecting and the process went quickly. I appreciated the interviewer's tact and demeanor. There weren't any curve ball questions and the interviewer made it clear what the next steps would be.
