Basic cover letter and resume application, followed by a math test. One phone interview, then an in person interview. In person interview was group style, there were several applicants and several current fellows there to interview. Interviews were followed by hands on tutorial, students from a school in the Bronx were brought in and I had to explain several geometry topics. The lesson plans were provided to applicants ahead of time. Entire process took a month, job offer was several days after in person interview. SAGA was very accommodating about what worksite I was sent to. Just a fingerprinting and background check, then a week of training. I was hired half way through a school year, not sure what the process looks like if you start in September.
