I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Root Inc. (Columbus, OH) in Feb 2020
Interview
Interview was okay but a bit awkward as the interviewer was breathing very heavily the entire time (phone interview)
Other than that, basic questions, no fastballs. Overall fine. I got the sense that there were a large number of interviewees as the process seemed very rushed and streamlined.
Typical interview. Very polite. Very professional. Interview went very well, but a week later they sent me an email saying they weren't going to hire me. Didn't give a reason and there was no contact whatsoever after the generic email.

Question 1
What would you do if you promised a client to respond before the end of day and you weren't allowed to stay later and didn't have any more time? (Don't remember the exact wording)
Interview process was average, not consistent with getting back to people in a timely fashion already accepted another offer by the time they reached out a month later. Sounds like they are growing going through many changes.
