I had applied through my school's recruitment portal. The interview happened on campus, conducted by a Human Resources person. They asked about my research and the skills listed on my resume. 3 letters of recommendation were required.
Very simple, one interview with HR, second interview with hiring manager. Then waited for 1 month and received the offer letter. The HR person first came to college to talk about the University
