The initial stages of the interview process went quite well. The recruiter was highly responsive and seemed eager to move things along quickly, ensuring that follow up calls were scheduled within two-week intervals. I was asked to build projects on their platform and present them to the recruiter. Balancing this with my full time job required significant effort. During one of the calls, the recruiter even mentioned that I had exceeded their expectations, as the project presentation was originally intended for a later stage.
After the third call, I remained engaged by sending follow up emails regarding my project progress and questions for the team. However, despite my efforts, I did not receive any response. After waiting three weeks, I reached out again to request an update so I could plan accordingly, but still heard nothing. Nearly two months and multiple follow ups later, I finally received an unofficial message stating that they had decided not to move forward with my application.
Unfortunately, this experience felt highly unprofessional. A significant amount of time, effort, and resources were invested in preparing for each call, often requiring me to adjust my schedule to accommodate their expedited timeline. Yet, they did not extend the courtesy of a timely response or even an official email acknowledging the delay or informing me of the decision.
