Long but personable and informative. Plenty of time to prepare. Questioning felt relaxing. Good experience. I was offered a walk around the site which gives good insight into ethos. Only downside was that on one hand they say they are down to earth etc, but interview seemed as formal as it would be in a normal office.
I applied online. I interviewed at Riverford Organic Farmers (Buckfastleigh, England) in May 2024
Interview
Process consisted of online application, screening call and then in person 'informal' interview.
Screening call was from HR person, just to outline the role and discuss motivations for applying. Lasted around 10-15 minutes.
In person interview was at their site, which is absolutely beautiful and I received a short internal tour. Informal interview was with the hiring manager and a member of their people department (HR). It was more of a 'get to know' you chat than an interview.
Company markets itself as a 'values led' organisation. This may be ideal for some candidates, however, I was left with the impression that individual value was not celebrated or rewarded.
I was advised that there was a further stage(s) before an offer were made to successful candidate.
