Interview
While the interview process was simple enough, there are a few areas that could certainly make a better experience for candidates.
After a HR screening and a first interview with a member of the team you’re invited to complete a task. This is questionable in itself (portfolios exist for this reason). The task is quite long and took multiple days (consisting of 6/7 mini tasks). After this you are invited to a final interview.
For myself this was framed over email as a chance for me to ask questions and find out about team structure and whether the role was right for me. Unfortunately this was not how the interview went. It was a more traditional interview with example-based questions that took the entirety of the 30 minutes.
I then unfortunately did have to chase up twice over the next two weeks to find out the outcome. I didn’t get offered the role and was offered no individual feedback - quite surprising considering this process took place over 4 steps (and a task)!
It’s also worth mentioning that there felt like quite a disconnect between everything up to and the final interview. Up until that point it felt professional but informal, everyone I had met had been chatty and approachable, keen to learn more about me and my experience. The final interview felt like a completely different vibe - exceedingly corporate and certainly very strictly structured. While this is fine in itself, it was quite different to everything up until that point. It did in all honesty make me question whether this role was right for me. I would suggest planning a more cohesive journey for potential candidates.
Unfortunately quite a disappointing experience for quite an exciting role on paper.

Tell me about a time you had to manage conflicting priorities.
Long drawn out process with multiple stages of interviews. I managed to have an interview with a recruiter, followed by an internal colleague, then was taken through to another round that was another interview that I had to submit a task for first. After submitting a lengthy task I was ghosted for a while before being told they would not now take me for the next stage.

How do you manage working with other stakeholders?
If you've got the privilege to be picky about your next role, avoid Revolut.
An internal recruiter contacted me directly on LinkedIn. I had an informal chat with another recruiter a couple of days later. I got to the next stage and talked to the Senior Copywriter (this was a pretty average interview, he seemed nice). He told me a recruiter would be in touch with next steps. This is when things got very confusing.
A third recruiter sent me the wrong task first. Once she managed to find the right one, she told me I had 3 days to send it back. I confirmed this was by EOP on the coming Friday. When I sent it over, the recruiter was on holiday. She replied to me on the Monday confirming receipt. I waited 10 days before asking for feedback - no answer. I then got a rejection almost 3 weeks later from a fourth recruiter, for the wrong job title. When I pointed this out, I was ignored.
When people take the time to go through 3 stages of your interview process, including a task, the least you could do is getting the job role correct when you reject them?
