      26 Oct 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Lisbon, Lisbon District
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut (Lisbon, Lisbon District) in Oct 2022

      Interview

There was a first interview, to explain the position and get to know me. The first time, they canceled because of technical problems, the second time because she had to leave the office early. The third time the interview was smooth, but they said the next step would be a home-test, but they never send it. The home-test would decide if I would go to a next interview.

      Junior Copywriter Interview

      12 Jul 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut in May 2021

      Interview

First there was a screening call with a Language Owner (not of the language for which I applied - there was no Language Owner hired for it yet). He asked me all the relevant questions and told me more about the role and the team structure. The conversation was very pleasant. I passed to the next round and I was emailed a home task which I was supposed return within 7 days. There were three tasks: writing a 600-800 word blog post about open banking (in English and then translating it to the language you're applying for), writing a copy for a Facebook ad (also in both languages) and translating and formatting an email. They said it should take about 4-6 hours to complete, but it took me considerably more, especially the first task. After that, I got a rejection email and the only feedback was that my "response didn’t quite hit the key points" they were looking for. They said they were not able to provide a more detailed feedback, so I couldn't even get an opportunity to improve out of that. No feedback would not be a problem if I had wasted less time on the task, e.g. 1-2 hours. Revolut might want to consider modifying the lengthiness of their home tasks to leave candidates a bit less frustrated after getting rejected with virtually no feedback, since we all know monetary compensation for the lost time won't be happening.
