I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Remitly (Seattle, WA) in May 2019
Interview
HR round, followed by 1:1 coding challenge and onsite.
One of the slowest and bad experience I ever had. I am not the one who write reviews but this one I just could not stop myself.
It started from first phase of interview where no one would try to notify you with the result and also no email response. I had to reach out to one of their Engineer to get the feedback and schedule an Onsite.
During onsite everything was very vague, Apparently all the engineers or product were not from the team I was being considered for. So no one particularly had good idea what I will be doing. Every round was half technical and half behavioral with total 6-7 rounds.
After Onsite no one reached out with the feedback and no response via Email either. Finally, I again had to reach out to an Engineer to not just get the feedback but also clear my dues which I am still waiting while writing the review.
I would definitely advice to think twice before you join or flying from different city for an interview with this company.

Question 1
One Medium level leetcode question in 1:1 and discussion about past projects and experiences.
6 onsite rounds. Every round on Onsite was half technical and half behavioral.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Remitly (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2026
Interview
HR call then a coding round. In the 60m coding round the actual problem needed to be solved was just 30m, rest 30 min was behavioral + talk about past projects.
The coding question wasn't a typical "this is the answer" question and it should pass these test cases.
First round was Recruiter phone screen
Second round was 1 hour technical interview (leet code)
Third round was 4 - 1 hour technical interview panel (2 coding questions one systems design one call with product manager)

Question 1
What is your experience working for a global team (ie around the world)
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Remitly
Interview
1. Recruiter Screening
2. Tech Screening with an engineer (single 1 hour interview)
3. Onsite rounds with managers, engineers, and program managers. This is usually 3 to 4 interviews with behavioral questions and whiteboard coding questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Given a set of bank accounts with dollar amounts and a threshold, find the number of transfers needed to get all accounts to meet the threshold amount. Be careful of edge cases, like if there isn't enough money. Some interviewers will want you to throw an error, but others may not.
For the behavioral questions, make sure that you show that you're a team player. They care about this just as much as you're individual coding skills.
