      Interview

Phone screen with recruiter, followed by technical interview with one of the engineers on the team. Struggled with some basic questions after being out of practice for a while, so I did not get a further interview

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Relativity Space in Aug 2024

      Interview

Egotistical, demeaning technical recruiter. Could not have imagined a more horrible experience for a screening call. Refused to provide any information regarding the role while repeatedly asking candidate to kiss up to the company.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Relativity Space (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2024

      Interview

Interview process was straight forward. It went as they said it would: panel interview followed by one-on-ones, and then a tour of the facility. I was surprised at how young and the lack of diversity of the population and it showed in the interview questions. Lots of fundamental questions from back in college which honestly was surprising considering I've been working for 8+ years but also makes sense since they all look like they've been working for less than 5 years...and they're the experienced staff. I'm almost sure why I didn't get an offer (stumbled on a few of the fundamental questions because I forgot the formula) but that just shows the lack of experience in the staff. When you don't have experience hiring, you have to fall back on an unbiased system (i.e. asking fundamental questions) but in doing so, you're missing an entire population who is experienced and can solve problems. Perhaps they don't know all the formulas off the top of their head but they know the engineering concepts and how to deliver results. Anyway, it was a fair process but I think their lack of experience is causing a lot of issues in all aspects of the organization.
