Began with a screening call which was conducted by the CEO which where credit is due, is quite unique for a company. Asked a couple of questions but they weren't really technical or specifically related to the job so I presume it was more of a "is this a cultural fit" interview.
I was really turned off from the company from the get-go, but this might just be my personal opinion. From the interview it sounded like the CEO is extremely involved, and that's usually a good thing, but it sounds like he's involved to the T and every small change likely has to run through him first and staff aren't given much autonomy when it comes to decisions. This is especially likely considering he screens applications through these interviews, and if this is even done down to each individual candidate, I have no doubt this happens within the organisation.
He was clearly extremely passionate about the company which was great to see; I was just hoping he would've showed more passion when it came to the actual interview and regarding the role he was recruiting for.
