Fairly standard (albeit drawn-out) interview process. From December - February, I spoke 1:1 with 4 members of the team who primarily asked "fit" questions, with 1 interview focused on the basic technical questions. After the first phone screenings, I completed a case study which consisted of an LBO and memo highlighting the business overview, and risks and merits of the deal. After completing the case study, I was invited to HQ to speak with the team. The team was friendly and hard-working, and I was prepared to accept an offer if it came. This is where the things changed drastically. After a few more weeks, I received a verbal offer for the position, and when I countered on the salary, they said they would get back to me. After 3 days of follow-up with HR and no response each day, they rescinded the offer entirely. After extending an offer on a Monday, the offer was rescinded by Friday with no explanation. Proceed with caution when interviewing here, have backup options, and do not put in your 2 weeks until signing a contract. A verbal offer means nothing here.
