I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Redfin (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2017
Interview
A friend of mine referred me, and I got a take-home question which I was supposed to finish in one hour. The online code editor they provided had a hard time logging my debug information while I was working on the problem, which affected me quite a bit.

I applied online. I interviewed at Redfin in Oct 2020
Interview
Easy-medium first and second round technical interviews, one virtual “on-site” interview with the team. On-site interview was about 4 hours though, so prepare for about 5 rounds of technical/behavioral questions.

Question 1
NDA, but mostly very straightforward easy-medium leetcode questions! Pretty broad list of technical topics they asked questions about, but also be sure to not skip over preparing for behavioral questions, this is pretty important to them
I applied through university. I interviewed at Redfin (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2016
Interview
First is OA(Online test), then a phone interview(2 coding question), finally is onsite.
The onsite interview includes 3 technique parts and 2 behavior parts. The technique ones are: one OO Design, and 2 coding questions. You need to coding at white board or on computer. The one of the behavior question is talking about your projects on your resume, and one is lunch with two engineers.
I thought I did well in all 5 rounds, and did all the codings. And the feedback from interviewees are all good. But after several days, I was told that they are going to move on with other candidates. And I did not see any point of their decision. The interview experience was good but I really cannot understand how they made their decisions.
