I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Red Hat (Brisbane) in Mar 2014
Interview
Met with multiple interviewers one at a time, with the interviews scheduled back to back. It took about two hours in total. I was asked a series of behavioral questions with the interviewers all writing down notes based on my responses. The questions were mostly about how I handled myself in a position where I would need to get information out of people, how I'd handle getting that information across multiple time zones, and how I'd deal with difficult personalities.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Red Hat (Prague) in Sept 2023
Interview
I had an initial call with a member of the talent acquisition team. She provided very detailed information about the role and the company, along with a clear overview of the interview process. A few days later, I had a 40-minute call with the hiring manager and a senior writer. The conversation was quite casual and stress-free. They asked me some basic questions about my favorite tools, preferred Linux distribution, and more. The rest of the conversation focused on generic technical writing questions and my personal experience with technical documentation. The final step would have involved a longer call with other team members; however, I was not selected to proceed with the interview process. The talent acquisition partner with whom I initially spoke called me to deliver the news and provided personalized feedback, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a positive experience with a very professional attitude from the Red Hat team members.
