I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Randstad US
Interview
Recruiter ghosted me after 30 minute phone call regarding a position the Randstand Recruiter contacted me about telling me I’d be a great fit. We exchanged a few emails prior. During the interview he even started to question some areas in which I originally was told made me an excellent candidate. Nothing but sales pitch to waste 30 minutes of my time I will never get back. Confirmed why I dislike recruiters and reluctant to work with them. Treat your candidates better!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Randstad US (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2022
Interview
Interview was allegedly more of a formality because they were looking to hire quickly for their client. They asked to go ahead and check my references which I unfortunately approved.
The questions were very basic yes/no questions which I tried to elaborate on a bit just so my skills could be fairly evaluated. I've provided a couple example questions below and even if you don't work in IT you'll know these are some very entry level questions that could be answered just by checking a candidate's resume. There were no situational questions or anything specifically technical.
References checked, interview completed. That was the end of Randstad's willingness to interact with this candidate. To ignore or "ghost" a client after getting references is super unprofessional.
