Interview process is well defined. Recruiters are very organized and will keep the candidate informed about the status at every stage of selection process. TA team is accessible throughout the different stages of interview process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
These are skill based questions and will vary from skill to skill.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Rakuten Symphony (Bengaluru) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interviewers and the campus HR experience were quite disappointing. but interview process handled by the hiring team was generally smooth
First technical round: The questions asked were very basic and far too easy for a senior software developer role. The interviewer did not turn on his camera, even after I mentioned that it felt awkward for my camera to be on when his was off. He also did not introduce himself.
Second round: This round required an office visit, but I was surprised to find that the interviewer was not present in the office and conducted the interview virtually instead.
HR experience at the Bengaluru campus: The HR staff were extremely rude and behaved unprofessionally, even raising their voices. Later, they apologized, saying they thought I was a fresher.
Work model inconsistency: The hiring manager does not work from the Bengaluru office but still expects candidates to come to the BLR office three days a week, despite the team following a remote work model.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Rakuten Symphony (Tokyo)
Interview
Took 4 months.
1. Technical interview
2. Manager round interview
3. HR Interview
4. Offer discussion
I really didnot like the interview process.
The HR asked to fill a pre-requisite form with expected pay.
They don not go through what ever you input in that sheet and just come up with a random salary offer without caring what you have mentioned in the expected pay.
The difference between what i filled in the expected pay field before the interview process and what was offered is far far less.
I suggest if you cannot afford or match the expected pay of the candidate please dont even start the interview and waste everyones time.
