Application
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Raisin in May 2018
Interview
Initial 30 mins HR interview followed by 1 hours tech interview.
Next round was a tech challenge on which you have to work on some given problem which is supposed to be finished in four hours.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
HR interview includes basic questions like : Why Raisin ? What is your goal ? What is one task you are proud of ? In the end a simple coding task.
Tech interview was more about what I have done so far ? What technology, tools were used in previous projects ?
Then somemore specific question like - What is DI ? How will you write method to handle HTTP GET Request ? Some indirect questions about Interface.
First interview was a recruiter screening interview. Then, I was scheduled for a technical interview with a tech lead. The interviewer was nice, Overall, he was supportive and gave honest feedbacks during the interview.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Raisin (Berlin) in Dec 2024
Interview
The interview consisted in:
- Initial conversation with the recruiter
- Conversation with the hiring manager
- Tech challenge
- Tech challenge follow up
- I think a cultural fit meeting after
I went through the process until the point of delivering the tech challenge. They say it takes around 4.5 hours (if I recall correctly), but that's far from reality. Overall, developing the system that will consume and send data (in a synchronized, concurrent way), consolidate the data, and have all this tested, took me more than 1500 lines of code.
I sent my challenge resolution, and got told that I'd get feedback shortly. After four days, I sent an email to ask the status, and I got a general email saying that they decided to go forward with other candidate. No feedback was given.
